Steel Vortex is a walk-around VR simulation where users fight swarms of drones and train to use weapons in a combat training environment.

Users are lead around a 20x20ft physical space but are “tricked” in the simulation to think they are moving around different parts of the virtual environment.

Using physical torches, users can aim and fire their arsenal of weapons at virtual drone targets
My Role - Lead Developer
- Programmed core functionality for triggering events, answering/receiving calls, and drone control
- Integrated 3D models created by visualization artists into the application and configured them for real-time use
